AI-Powered Personalization
One UI 7 introduces robust AI-driven features that adapt to individual user habits, enhancing efficiency and convenience. The upgraded writing assistant now allows users to select text across various apps, providing options to summarize content, check grammar and spelling, and automatically format notes into bullet points, streamlining productivity without the need to switch between applications.
Additionally, the new call transcription feature supports 20 languages, automatically transcribing recorded calls for easy reference, thereby eliminating the need for manual note-taking during important conversations.
The visual overhaul in One UI 7 focuses on simplicity and user accessibility. Updated icons and a revamped notification center contribute to a cleaner aesthetic. The introduction of the "Now Bar" on the lock screen provides quick access to essential features such as music controls, recorder, and stopwatch, reducing the need to unlock the device for routine tasks.
Enhanced Security and Privacy
In an era where data security is paramount, One UI 7 enhances user privacy with features like network connection control, allowing users to prevent data interception on unsecured networks. The update also strengthens theft protection with options for remote locking and advanced identity verification, ensuring comprehensive device security.
Rollout Schedule
The One UI 7 beta program commenced on December 5, 2024, for Galaxy S24 series devices in select markets, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S. The stable release began with the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025. Samsung plans to extend the update to other Galaxy devices, with flagship models like the Galaxy S24 series expected to receive the stable update starting April 18, 2025.
